Glitch or Effort? UAE beats New Zealand by 7 wickets for the First Time in History

New Zealand Tour of UAE – Series of 3 T20s were schedule between New Zealand and UAE, after the first win of New Zealand didn’t stay that way for long. In the 2nd T20 UAE remarkably take over New Zealand for the first time in history. The effort and hard work could easily be seen in UAE players. From the start UAE get a hard grip on New Zealand, so can’t escape the remarkable bowling of Ayan Afzal khan.

UAE won the toss and decided to bowl first in the 2nd T20. After taking 3 wickets in the powerplay, UAE bound New Zealand to 142/8 after the good 63 runs innings of Mark Chapman. When UAE came to bat, the start wasn’t good as Tim Southee took the wicket of Aryansh Sharma in the first over. After the fall of first wicket, Muhammad Waseem played the captain innings of 55 runs only on 29 deliveries. At 96, Muhammad Waseem gave his wicket to Mitchell Santner. But with the help of Asif Khan who scored 48* runs on 29 balls, UAE chased the 142 target in just 15 overs and 4 balls.

Aayan Afzal Khan win the Player of the match award for his exceptional spell of 3 for 20 for his four overs. While talking after the award, Aayan Afzal Khan said, he only want to do best and that what he did. He further mentions that Mitchell Santner wicket was his favorite wicket of them all.

With this UAE won the first T20 against New Zealand and enter the emerging team of that group who defeated the mighty ones. So, we can say that T20 is the game where a small team can also confused the best of the best teams.

As the series is on level 1:1 then on 20th August both teams will play the decider match to win the series.
